A gift box on a beige background

In my noble quest for words that sing,

To honor my mother, the heart's true spring,

I, your humble poet, shall take up my pen,

And weave a tale of love, never to end.

Oh, dearest mother, fair and true,

With love as vast as the ocean's blue,

Thy tender care, like a warm embrace,

Fills my days with joy and grace.

From birth to now, you’ve held my hand,

With endless vow, stood by my side,

In times of sorrow and joys at the slight,

God gave me to borrow, you a star in the sky night.

Though troubles and agony I have caused,

You kept me in check for when I was lost,

Forever tales and fables will be told,

About the neck of the family I embossed.

You are the lamp that lights my way,

Guiding me through life, come what may,

Your wisdom shines like a beacon bright,

Illuminating my path with heavenly light.

Upon your hands I lay my troubles,

Upon your heart my love never fumbles,

Upon your face never ending eye balls,

Upon your faith everything humbles.

Happy Mother’s Day to my one and only,

With reverence, if I may, celebrate you today,

Even for the times I go astray, your teachings with me forever stay,

In guidance as I go my way, to have you forever is my final pray.
